I absolutely loved staying here at Agora. I initially booked 2 nights but I loved it (and the dog) so much I added an extra 5 nights. Denis the Goldie is the most gorgeous doggo. I adore her so so much and I miss her already. Owner Alber and wife are wonderful. I struggled to put on a head scarf for the mosque and they had one their wonderful staff to help me put it on. Seva from the front desk is so lovely and sweet. She’s very caring and helpful. I enjoyed talking to her very much. The hotel is very clean, neat, beautiful and well equipped. The breakfast is lovely, the view from the terrace is beautiful. They have a chef that comes in the evening as well, the food is great and the price is very reasonable. Chef is also very kind. The location is great. About 10 mins walk to everything. But if you have a big suitcase like I did, it can be a bit of struggle to get that to/from the tram station as it’s on old cobblestone roads. No worries if you travel by taxi. Overall, incredible stay here. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Istanbul.

I've visited more than 100 hostels and don't write reviews often. This hostel is definitely a special one. You are greeted by responsive and pleasant staff, as well as a cheerful dog, Denize. The staff speaks many languages. Wifi is good. The shower is hot. The hostel is very cozy and warm. Super clean toilets and showers. Very nice bed and cozy, good, warm blanket. The rooms are comfortable: there are curtains, chargers, hooks, and a shelf for your phone. The location is amazing. Everything is very close: the Bosphorus, the main mosque of the country, a shop, a tram. A magnificent terrace overlooking the Bosphorus, where you can relax and read a book or just chat with travelers. Breakfast at the hostel 10+/10. You can choose a breakfast as you wish. I especially want to highlight the staff. The cooks are polite and help bring the food. The staff at the reception always suggest what you can do in the city and see new things. Absolutely positive memories of this hostel. Keep in mind that the restroom is "unisex" so for someone it might not be perfect.

We stayed for 5 nights and everything was amazing! The room is very cosy, the neighborhood is quiet and safe - a few minutes away (on foot) from Aya Sophia and the Blue Mosque. There is also a small Bazaar nearby. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of local dishes, including menemen, local deserts and tasty vegetables. We had breakfast either on the terrace or on the rooftop which offers a nice view to the Bosphorus. The wi-fi works very well. Client service at its best! A big Thank you to Mr. Alper and his team, who are very welcoming, offering prompt assistance to each and every request, plus life-saving recommendations; he also helped us negotiate the fee with the taxi driver and booked us a taxi to return to the airport. We appreciated also that we could leave our luggage in the hotel for a couple of hours after check-out. Let’s not forget the Golden Retriever who just makes your day brighter. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again!

Agora is a very cosy, nice guesthouse located perfectly in the center of all atractions but in a quiet alley. I stayed in a female dorm and even though the room was very small and fully booked everyone has her privacy and it was quiet. Breakfast is really great, very varied. I only once had a bad luck when i came about 9 am (breakfast is served 8-10am) and there was almost nothing more left and wasn't refilled anymore. But it happend only once and the other days there was plenty of delicious food. The terrace is also a nice place to take a rest and finish the day. There are cold and hot drinking water dispensers at each floor, you only need to have your own cup and tee. Thanks a lot for your hospitality!

Agora Guesthouse was my home away from home during my stay in Istanbul. It is conveniently located in one of the most notable areas of the city, with some of the main attractions (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace) is short walking distance. All the staff was incredibly nice and even allowed me to check-in early at no extra cost! The buffet breakfast is a very nice addition, along with the meals served at dinner time (much more reasonably priced than the surrounding restaurants). All areas were kept clean and tidy, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here!
